Fullerton, CA- Hope International Women’s Basketball Bill Crammer is pleased to announce the signing of Julia Pihl– an incoming Freshman from Oceanside, CA. Pihl a two time all league
player will join the Royals this Fall.
Coach Crammer commented, “We are looking forward to bringing Julia into the Hope basketball family. She is an outstanding all-around basketball player with good handles and a great three-point shot. Julia is a competitor and even though she is a freshman, I expect her to challenge for playing time. We are fortunate to have Julia as part of our program. Welcome to Hope!”
Pihl has spent the last four years playing varsity basketball for Coach Pete LaFrance at Rancho Buena Vista High School. All four years Pihl helped the Longhorns reach the CIF playoffs which includes advancing all the way to the CIF Finals as a Sophomore.
The two time All-Avocado West League player (First team as Senior, Second Team as Junior) averaged 16.1 points on the strength of 73 made three pointers as a Senior. The sharp shooter also gave out four assists per game while taking away two steals per game.
More impressive than her work on the court was the fact that she was named to the Principal’s Honor Roll all four years in school and was twice named to the All-Academic Team. Pihl finished in the top five percent in her recent graduating class.
