We Teach the Fundamentals.
We offer four distinct levels of high school teams to ensure every player competes at the pace that is right for them. Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or preparing for elite-level high school competition, we have a place for them.
All players who try out are placed on one of our team levels: DELTA (Development), LOCAL (Intermediate), or TRAVEL (Advanced). Our TRAVEL level is further divided into HEAT and ELITE teams, allowing us to place advanced players in the most competitive environment that best fits their skill level and goals.
Is your child brand new to basketball? We recommend registering for our Skills and Drills program first. Two to three months of foundational classes will give them the confidence they need to succeed at tryouts!

I can’t say enough great things about San Diego Sol. The coaching staff is great. Family/Team environment. My daughter’s basketball skills vastly improved going here. My only regret is that I wish I knew about Sol earlier. I would have sign her up right away. Give them a try. You won’t regret it.
Sol has been the most consistent and available basketball program for kids prior to and after the pandemic. Their availability in the north county (San Elijo) expands their reach and opportunity for kids. They promise a well balanced and inclusive program. My son is 14 and he has been part of the Sol family since he was 6!

AFTER TRYOUTS
Your coach will contact you by MONDAY, MARCH 16, telling you when your practice days and times will be. Practices are twice a week with games on the weekends.

IMPORTANT DETAILS
There is a $195 one-time new player fee. This covers your Official Sol Uniform and unlocks exclusive discounts to admissions and camps.
Refunds may be requested up until the first day of practice (minus processing/transaction fees).
After the first day of practice, team fees are non-refundable.
At San Diego Sol, we look for more than just raw talent. We look for character. Earning a position on a team will be based upon the following criteria:
- Skills and Ability: Basketball fundamentals and IQ.
- Heart and Hustle: Effort on defense and loose balls.
- Commitment: Dedication to the team schedule.
- Work Ethic: The drive to get better every practice.
- Coachability: Respect for coaches and teammates.
We believe in promotion. As a player’s skills and commitment improve, we may move them to a higher-level team to ensure they are always challenged.
Consistency is key to development. All teams practice twice a week at our home facility.

TEAM PLACEMENT POLICY: All registered players will be placed on a team! Teams are formed by age, skill level, experience, and roster balance. San Diego Sol determines final placement to create the best development environment for every player.
NEW PLAYER POLICY: One-time $195 fee covers player insurance, Sol uniform, discounts on admission, and camps.
GAME ADMISSION: There is an admission fee to watch games. General admission is $10, and children under 6 are free. However, Sol players have access to a Sol Family Card, which provides 10 scans for $65.You can purchase the pass here Sol Family Card
